Grammar Video

A large percentage of the Writing and English sections of the SAT and ACT require students to understand basic grammar and punctuation. In 18 minutes, Barak teaches everything you need to know about punctuation on the tests, and mastering this material will raise your score. If your student finds it helpful and wants further resources or to join one of our group classes or one-on-one sessions, be in touch!

A Little Advice:

I always tell my students that the best way to prepare for the SAT or ACT is to practice on real past tests (links above) and go over all their wrong answers until they have mastered those concepts. A great tutor can help with this, or you can use the innumerable videos that can be found on YouTube.

Tests can be taken section by section, but if you want to practice the test as a whole, here is how you can proctor them for yourself at home.

For the SAT, do the test in the Bluebook app.
For the ACT, here is a video that acts as a mock proctor you can use to time yourself.

Join Our Community

Barak writes a lot on Facebook and Instagram. Make sure to follow along for relevant updates and advice.

If you are studying on your own, it can be very beneficial to have a system of accountability in place. Students should get together with a group of friends, or join an online community where they can check in weekly, stay on track to reach their goals, and get encouragement from peers.

Join a Demo Class

Barak will demonstrate his unique method for raising scores quickly and answer all of your questions. This session is geared toward parents, but if your student is available, that is great because the demonstration will give a few tips and tricks that could help raise scores on the spot.
